Girl Trip!!!

So as many of you may know, this weekend was our Girl trip. My friend
Shelia and I took our girls to Dallas to visit the American Girl Doll Store and Bistro.
This was such a fun trip! If you have young girls I recommend it!
I'm showing off some pictures of our trip with more to come later!

This is the girls with their dolls before our Lunch at the Bistro.
Each girl and their doll had a super cute matching dress. And check
out those cute bows, one for each girl and each doll, made by
the ever talented Georgeann Quantie, I've said it before
and I'll say it again, if you need bows she is your go to girl!
These matched so well! And she had never seen the dresses!
I just described the fabric over the phone! I think I'm going
to add these matching girl/doll dresses to my store.
So if you want one for your sweet girl, you can check out our website,
or just shoot me an e-mail!
More pics at the hotel!
Oh by the way, we stayed at the comfort suites North/Galleria and it
was super nice and very close to everything we did while we were there.

Here we are in front of the store!
Yep those 3 dots in front of that flower bed are our girls!
The storefront was so tall we had to stand across the little street to
fit it in the frame!
So Excited and ready to go in!

And finally in the Bistro ready to eat!

The girls loved these little high chairs for their dolls!

And the brought cute menus for the dolls that we were
able to keep. And each doll got their own glass of Pink Lemonade!
And of course the girls had these great Chocolate
Shakes, yummy!!!
And yummy Root Beer Floats!
Then they had these cute little doll hangers everywhere to hold your
Dolls for you. They were in the bathrooms, the party rooms, anywhere
you may need someone to hold your dolls. These were in a room
where they offered a free craft for girls visiting that day.

Here is the fun craft, they had these great paper dolls, and templates

and papers for the girls to make their own clothes for their paper dolls.

The girls loved it and it was such a fun day!

Better Late than never

I know this was like 2 weeks ago, but my baby girl graduated Kindergarten this year!!! Part of me is so glad it is over, but another part of me is so sad that this milestone is already behind her. Now she is officially a first grader. And to top it off, she started her first day of camp at the Salvation Army Boys and girls club. I'm a bit nervous about that, but she had no reservations, she couldn't wait! It looks like it will be fun, they are doing all kinds of field trips, swimming, and other stuff.

Back to graduation, here are some pics for you to enjoy!
With her Friend Carsen in their cool sparkly 2009 glasses!
One last hopscotch on the tiles!
Okay that was a bit of Drama, we will be back next year!!!
The class board of baby pics & K5 Pics, boy have they grown!
Cheesing it up while she should be singing!!!

Her future husband!!! They have been engaged since

K4- his last name is Phillips too, so she wants to marry him

so she doesn't have to change her last name! I think he's a pretty

sweet kid, so I'm okay with that!

Something about free dress

Makes kids crazy!!!
As most of you know, my girls go to a private school,
and therefore wear uniforms to school 99% of the time.
However, today they were having field day,
A crazy day outside having sno cones and playing on
jupiter jumps and such.
So they had free dress.
Let me tell you, the minute we walked in the building,
everyone was excited and anxious to start the day.

While waiting in the hall before class

They were all acting goofy

Carrying the little ones, and having so much fun!

these two sweet girls pictured here with E, are two of my
favorite kids (I have lots of faves!!!).
They are both in the same grades as my two girls
and they are so sweet, and the girls just love them.
Plus I love playdates with sibling pairs that are the
same age as my girls, it just works out well for all involved,
no body feels left out and they actually all 4 play very well together.
Oh, and check out the cute bandana pants I made for E to wear!!! So easy to make and so cute on!!! I think I'll list them in my etsy store.
How great would they be for the lake this summer!

Creating Quiet Time

This summer My mom, my 2 girls, my good friend Shelia, her two kids, and me are going on a long weekend trip to Dallas to take the girls to the American Girl Doll Bistro and do some other fun things. So I've been working on some ideas to make the trip fun for the kids and us. I've come up with some great outfits for all 3 girls (the 4th is a boy) and their dolls so they can be twinkies!!! So be on the look out for cute posts about those later.

However, while trying to come up with things for them to do in the 8 hours spent in the car round trip, I remembered a box that I have moved from my sewing room, to the office, back to the sewing room and then to the garage without using any of it's contents. I bought these supplies at least a year ago, if not more, and I haven't used any of them yet!!!

So I pulled it out and made these:

They are super cute, and do double duty.
They are oilcloth on one side, great for a portable place mat.
Just wipe clean and away you go.
Then The other side is this great fabric that works like a chalk board.
Just doodle away, then erase and repeat!
They all have a cute little ribbon tie, so they can roll up and tie for portability.
I love them so much, I think I'll go list some in my etsy store right now!!
If you want one, check it out at http://www.lizzyroseboutique.etsy.com/

Or come see us at the Rt 66 Blow out in Downtown Sapulpa on June 6th!

Now, I have to give credit where credit is due. My other good friend Georganne was asking me about this fabric and reminded me of this project last week. Oh and she is also promising to be a guest blogger on here, she makes the most to die for hairbows, and sells them way too cheap, so if you need to outfit your princess in bows, she is the go to girl!
